Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, is the younger brother of the late Diana, Princess of Wales and is the maternal uncle of Prince William and Prince Harry. Charles succeeded as 9th Earl Spencer upon the death of his father John, 8th Earl Spencer, in March 1992. He is a historian, journalist and broadcaster, and manages the Althorp estate, the Spencers' ancestral seat in Northamptonshire. The Earl has seven children, including Lady Kitty Spencer.
